ROTACON STUMP GRINDER
The linkage mounted and PTO driven Stump Grinder has a large diameter cutting drum directly mounted to a sturdy gearbox.
The drum rotates at only 40 r.p.m. The ballast tanks ensure that the drum rests firmly on the stump. The cutting action is best described as a big cheese grater. The cut chips clear through the holes ensuring a clean continuous cut for each bisalloy cutter.
The slow cutting speed requires little horse power. Most stumps can be ground to 250mm under ground level in a matter of minutes.
Low noise levels and no flying debris make the machine suitable for use in urban areas.
Tractor requirement because of the weight is from 80 hp upward. Front weights are recommended.
